29Oct2011 | Roadshow 2011 Our annual Roadshow,on October 29th at Pataka, Porirua, focusing on Transplants, was another great success! Thank you to all our speakers who volunteered their time. Everyone's talks were very educational and in some instances, even funny. WRKS is extremely privileged that Kelvin Lynn, KHNZ Medical Director and Renal Specialist, as well as Carmel Gregan-Ford, KHNZ Educator, generously vounteered their time and knowledge to attend our roadshow again. Very inspirational and a great sense of humour there Kelvin. Huge thanks to you both. For the first time we had the Transplant Coordinators, Claire Beckett and Sheryl Sparks, and Renal Dietician, Becky Jones, from Wellington CCDHB attend and share some great information with us. Thank you ladies! A special mention goes out to Committee Member, Bern Hanify. who arranged the opening entertainment. A group of music students from St Michaels school sang us 3 numbers. All were fabulous and fun! Many thanks Bern and students! Special thanks go to Kathy Howarth who put another stellar day together and her children Ben, Elsie and family friend Caleb.
